PVD/PAD and Lower Limb Ischemia

How prevalent is lower limb ischemia or "black toe" in the dialysis population?

Who do you think is ultimately responsible for ordering and conducting monthly foot screens for dialysis patients in clinics?

Would love to hear everyone's thoughts in the comment section.

  1. Very prevalent and it is a team approach... the nurses need to help out, and lets not forget the patients themselves. Ultimately the nephrologist is responsible for ordering the screenings. Until perhaps a problem is discovered and then the vascular surgeon or podiatrist shoulder the 'ultimate responsibility'

    Good luck with your blog
